Last Updated: July 1, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By visiting our website, subscribing to our newsletter, participating in our WhatsApp group, or registering for any SaugaTech meetup, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Legal Terms & Conditions and our Code of Conduct. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not participate in our community events or online channels.
2. Code of Conduct (Crucial)
SaugaTech is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age, religion, or technical background.
We strictly forbid:
- Harassment, stalking, or deliberate intimidation at our events or inside digital chats.
- Sustained disruption of talks, builder showcases, or discussions.
- Unsolicited commercial spam, product solicitation, or hard-sales pitches in general channels or direct messages to other members.
- Aggressive, derogatory, or judgmental behavior. We are a supportive, judgment-free ecosystem.
In case of a violation, organizers reserve the absolute right to remove any participant from events, block them from digital forums, and terminate their membership.
3. In-Person Event Participation
By registering and attending our events (primarily held at IDEA Mississauga or partner locations):
- You acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating and assume any associated risks.
- You consent to appearing in photography, audio recordings, or videos captured during the meetup, which may be shared on our website, newsletter, and social media channels for promotion. If you wish not to be photographed, please inform organizers upon arrival.
- Food and beverages are provided at your own discretion. Please let organizers know if you have severe allergies.
4. WhatsApp Community Guidelines
Our WhatsApp community is a high-trust network for GTA professionals. In addition to our Code of Conduct, you must respect the following channel norms:
- Job Postings: Post only in designated channels or when requested.
- Respect Direct Messages: Do not message other members with cold sales offers, recruiters spam, or unsolicited pitches.
- Help Each Other: This is a co-creation platform; sharing, troubleshooting, and giving honest feedback are highly encouraged.
5. Limitation of Liability
SaugaTech operates as a volunteer-driven, non-incorporated community organization. We, along with our venue sponsors (IDEA Mississauga, Invest Mississauga, Touchdown Coworking, Simpli Events), are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your participation in online channels or in-person meetups.
