The past couple of weeks brought two stories that show just how central infrastructure has become - one homegrown and quantum, the other global and cloud-based.

This move signals a shift from dependence to diversification. OpenAI will now deploy, train, and serve its models across AWS infrastructure, gaining access to the company’s Tranium and Inferentia chips, high-performance networking, and global availability zones.
